Bone Voyage has
taken care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats for years. We are
very particular about the care of our pets, and our pets love
them. We can and do count on their expert, dependable care,
whether we are out of the country for 3 weeks or just need a few
mid-day dog walks. They follow instructions and follow up,
confirming dates ahead of time and leaving reports on their
visits. I would be happy to talk with anyone personally about
our experience with Bone Voyage.

Crystal has been
caring for our pets since the Spring of 1996. In itself, that
is a great recommendation. But there is more. Crystal
also made sure that we were able to leave town for a week in the
aftermath of Isobel and not worry about pet care. The best
recommendation, however, is that our cats love her and seem
disappointed when they must return to our care. Can Crystal be
spoiling them???!!

Our names are Oscar,
Lucy
and Sammy
and we LOVE it when Crystal comes to cat sit us! We moved to
Alexandria from Michigan in October 2003 and our mom has a new job
where she has to travel a lot. Our mom really worries about us
when she travels and she tried other pet sitting services, but they
didn't do a good job. When our vet recommended Crystal, all of
us were so happy! Crystal does a great job taking care of us
when mom is gone, she plays with us and talks to us, and she even
calls our mom every day to let her know that we are doing fine!
And when mom comes home and sees how happy we are, she is very happy,
too! We love having Crystal coming over to see us!

My
owners/caretakers always have to persuade me to get up out of my
comfy bed to take my obligatory walks. So, it goes without
saying that anyone else who tries to remove me from my Snuggledom and
take me for walks has got to be pretty special. Jeff, Crystal,
and the other nice people at BoneVoyage just happen to have that
something special. Their gentle persuasions and sunny
dispositions make it a little easier for me to leave my comfortable
bed for my afternoon walks. Don't tell my caretakers, but I
really look forward to my weekday afternoons with Jeff.

Have known Crystal
for many years. My cat Sam has a kidney problem and needs
fluids 3 times a week. Crystal is so good to him and he really
doesn't mind the fluids being given. After Crystal finishes she
always takes a few minutes to play with my other cat Tinker. He

long-haired German Shepherd, Tatanka (aka "Tonk") has
health problems and must be let out regularly each day while we are

I don't know what I'd do without Crystal and Bone Voyage - being your typical work-centric Washingtonian. Beginning with day visits when I got my Lab puppies almost six years ago (one sadly deceased now), I've relied on Crystal and her staff to take care of my "family" when I'm working long hours or out of town. Crystal has a knack of selecting people who truly love our four-legged friends. I just started using her overnight service - having someone actually stay in my home with my girls - and it's a god-send! I feel totally comfortable turning over to Crystal's staff the care and love of my dog and cat. Sometimes I wonder if they're not having a better time with the Bone Voyage people than with me! Crystal and her Bone Voyage crew have taken care of our pets for many years. During that time, Crystal has faithfully and reliably attended to our cats whenever we've been away, whether overnight or for two weeks. She was a life-saver when we had to learn how to administer fluids to one of our cats at home and didn't even charge us extra when she took on the chore herself during our vacations. We recently returned from a week away and once again our babies were fine when we came home -- healthy and contented. It gives us great peace of mind to know that Crystal will be taking care of Solo, Jamie Lee and Slick whenever we leave, whether for business or pleasure. We are the proud owners of two wonderful chocolate labs. They are father and son and very, very attached to one another. We moved to Alexandria seven years ago and the first thing we looked into was someone to care for our "boys". The management office of the apartment building; the veterinarian to whom we take them as well as the training school/pet supply establishment in Alexandria , while having a list of others, all recommended Bone Voyage as the best. They were absolutely correct. I have observed other pet services in the neighborhood. Some walk five dogs at one time and that is all it is - a walk. With Bone Voyage my "boys" are walk by themselves and given a lot of attention. They are not simply walked. They stay out for a minimum of twenty minutes and enjoy the day and the walk. The older of the two is 14 and he now requires special attention and Jeff has adopted him as his own. He is gentle, patient and caring with him. Each day when we come home from work there is a note waiting for us telling us how they did on their walk; what kind of a day the older one is having; the time of day they were walked; if there are any problems with loose stool and if there is they are given their medication. When we have to leave town we know they are taken care of with extra special attention and not once in the seven years have we ever had a worry or a second thought about leaving them. For those of us who consider our dogs part of our family, there is only one service to look to - Bone Voyage. I do not know what I would do without them. They too have become like family. C. Dorrell
I have known Crystal for 15 years and have used her services even before she began Bone Voyage. I had an elderly, ill cat that needed a high level of daily care for over three years (who died at the age of 18). Crystal knew what to do to meet those complicated medical requirements and what to do in an emergency -- and there were several. I now have two cats and trust Crystal or her competent staff to care for them with affection. I know that my home and my pets will remain safe while I am away. I recommend Bone Voyage highly. From the day we touched down in Washington DC to the day we flew out to our new home in Las Vegas 2 years later, Miss Crystal and her friends at Bone Voyage took amazing care of us! Whenever our Mom needed to be away for business or to visit family, we could count on Miss Crystal to visit us every day, give us our food and water, and keep us clean and happy. Once, Mom wound up in the hospital unexpectedly but Miss Crystal was there to step in right away, so we weren't scared. On the day we left DC to come to Vegas, she took us to the airport where she had to face down bureaucratic snafus, cancelled flights and snowstorms in order to get us on the plane out west, but she did it! Crystal and her staff take care of our darling, but very spoiled, Siamese cats as though they were their own pets. We know that our kitties are happiest in their own home, and we've never had to resort to a kennel situation, thanks to Crystal. Whether we go on a short or long trip, Crystal & Co. have a key to our house, come twice a day, bring in the mail, newspapers, trash receptacles, and spend time with the little guys in addition to taking care of their food, water, and litter boxes. We never worry. When two of our kitties were very ill and requiring injections and lots of medications, Crystal was there to offer skilled help. Crystal Byorick has been our cat sitter since 1992. She took excellent care of our cats, Toodie and Star, almost all of their lives. When we would go away, our cats never stressed out, because Crystal gave them such good care. And when Toodie and Star became old and sick, Crystal helped with their care then, too. We can always relax on vacation, knowing that Crystal is watching over our dear pets. Now that we have a new cat, Alpine, we again can go out of town knowing that he is in the best of care also. I am a very finicky cat owner, and believe that no one is better at taking care of my cats than I am. But, when I can't be here, I know I can trust Crystal to do an excellent job.
